When you cook a meal for our families, you’re providing much more than just food. After long days in the hospital, families have a chance to sit down and enjoy a home-cooked meal. This also provides an opportunity for all of our families to talk about their days and lean on each other for support.

Businesses, civic organizations, church groups, and many other volunteers regularly participate in our Meals That Heal program, but we are always looking for even more amazing groups of people willing to help our families.

If you would like to join our Meals That Heal program, please read our Meals That Heal handbook. This handbook includes frequently asked questions, as well as information regarding meal preparation. Group leaders are encouraged to forward this document to all volunteers in the group.

Meals That Heal groups are asked to bring a $120 donation. In our year of growth, we look to groups to help us maintain programs like Meals That Heal, so that our families can continue to focus on hope and healing. As our House is currently undergoing construction to double in size, families will be temporarily relocated, and we will not be hosting Meals That Heal groups from May 10th through late September. These donations will help us to ensure that our families are still cared for during this time, since $120 helps one family for one night at our House. If you are interested in other ways that you can provide assistance throughout the summer, are interested in signing up for a Meals That Heal date in the fall, or have any other questions or concern, please contact Alexandra Benson at or 402-346-9377.

Please reference the calendar below for available dates.
